Today for review has sent me over the Hannspree 23” 1080P LCD monitor. I’ve bought them myself and received them for review so there’s no bias involved there, I’ve had the same experiences either way. Buying a refurb monitor is something that many people will stay away from, but I’ve never had any real problems with them. The majority of these monitors are rather expensive, especially for the larger sized one, but you can get them inexpensively if they are refurbished.

Package Content: HannsBook, Power Cable (1.High Definition content is not limited to HDTVs, many people, myself included like to watch movies on our PCs, but to really enjoy the experience you need a full HD monitor. Pros: Size of a netbook but with a real processor.Ĭons: Hours of usage is really 4 hours but that is plenty for most and if you need more the batteries cost $50 from Hannspree Hannspree sn12e2 keyboard drivers# Overall Review: I have had this laptop/netbook for about 8 months now. It has a real processor compared to those lousey Atom processor in Netbooks. You can run anything (Not games) on this that you can run on your regular laptop or desktop PC. It's not that much slower than my Core2Duo Laptop and it get's double the usage time (4 Hours). It's light weight enough that I take it in my backpack. I use mine mostly for trips shopping to town which normally last 6 to 8 hours. on any large ticket items I'm thinking about buying to make sure the price is OK.It's a computer you can take with you in your backpack without being weighed down (3Lbs.) I take lunch at McDonalds and check email and research prices, etc. I have been nothing but happy with my purchase since own it.

Note: I upgraded mine to 4GB (3.2gb recognized because of Windows 7 32bit).

Keyboard is full size and keys are in standard locations I'm not sure it really added any speed and the memory tests slower with 4gb compared to 2gb so something to think about. Windows 7 Restoration CD as well as HD Restore Partitionīluetooth is actually included. G3 phone connected is reportedly available. I haven't tried it.Ĭons: Glossy black finish Touch pad too is glossy. As the other guy said, "Stupid."īoth my power input connector and my USB devices leave a little bit of metal showing. That's not a great craftsman-like finish. Overall Review: I got mine for $299 from NewEgg. I've owned two Asus netbooks and I own a HP DM1z (11.1" screen & HDMI). The Hannspree is a little larger and a little heavier than a netbook. Screen is clear and easy for me to read (I'm an old guy.) I recommend that you do not settle for a screen less than 1366 x 768. The less than 768 part will wear you down.
Keyboard is such a relief from Asus and even the HP DM1z. It's not a great keyboard but it's great for this kind of computer. Subjectively, this computer seems to have two speeds.
Sometimes it's so slow I think it's broken. But, in actually running programs it seems close to my desktop computer's speed. But then, one doesn't buy this type of computer for its speed in video processing. Much happier with this than with my netbooks. Pros: This little laptop handled anything I threw at it HD movies in VLC Compressing stuff with 7-Zip, Browsing with 30+ tabs in Firefox, and even some light gaming as well.
The build quality is pretty good, there is some minimal flexing in the case, but that's to be expected of a laptop this cheap. The keyboard is full-size and has minimal flexing it feels great. I love the fact that it doesn't have one button for the trackpad instead it's two separate buttons. The face that it has HDMI & VGA out is great, and the battery lasts about 6 hours with everything turned off.

Other pros are that it's easy to upgrade (access to all connectivity related cards, HDD and RAM), and has Wireless-N, Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, and a SIM card slot, even for 3G connections. (Said slot is behind the battery.) There's minimal bloatware on the system as well.Ĭons: The entire thing is glossy. Even the trackpad, which is a odd design choice. The trackpad buttons are really tiny and hard to get used to. My system came with a single stuck pixel on the LCD. It wasn't too annoying, but I really wish that it was perfect since it's coming from a company that specializes in making LCD monitors.
